M8500 The LONG-RANGE marten-repellent device
With its sine ultrasound range of up to 200 metres, the M8500 is able to keep martens away from entire car parks and used car storage areas. The extra-loud 21 kilohertz sound waves (without habituation effect) will even deter larger animals. Deer, wild boar and rodents sense the unpleasant pulsating sound and prefer to keep out of its way. For martens, the sound is nigh-on unbearable. And since the effective radius of the ultra-wide marten-scarer is so enormous, the vehicle is protected from bites within a radius of just over 600 lengths of a marten’s body.

Product features

  • Pulsating sine ultrasound Our marten-scarers mimic the warning calls of the animals in a very loud and highly lifelike way. This serves to prevent the habituation effect.
  • Autonomous battery device (ultrasound) Because they are battery-operated, the ultrasound devices can be used universally and independently.
  • Acid-proof, self-extinguishing plastic The device is resistant to acids (e.g. batteries or cleaning agents) and the plastic used meets automotive industry safety standards.
  • Reminder-App The smart reminder app reminds you in time to replace the batteries or refresh your fragrance protection. www.kuk-reminder.com

Open the device with a screwdriver (unscrew the base plate). Insert four UM2 batteries into the built-in battery holder. When all four batteries have been inserted, the LED below the loudspeaker will flash approx. every 6 seconds. A flashing LED means the device is working. Screw the base plate back on and mount the device in the intended position. During installation, please ensure that splashing water (rainwater) cannot reach the device (install under the roof overhang, in a bird nesting box or similar, under a parked mobile home to deter mice). Ultrasonic tones spread like light – in a straight line. Where they are blocked by obstacles, shadows are cast (ultrasonic sound cannot be heard behind obstacles). The device must therefore be mounted such that the area to be covered by the ultrasound is as clear as possible. The built-in LED can be used to check whether the device is working. If you install the device under a mobile home to deter mice, remember to keep the grass short so that the ultrasonic sound is not obstructed. Please see the Installation PDF file for further installation instructions.
