In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
You can return used batteries, which we have or have had in our range as new batteries, either by sending them back to us at your own expense or by returning them free of charge to our shipping warehouse (shipping address). Alternatively, you can hand in the batteries at local collection points.
As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that they can be reused or disposed of properly.
Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese, or nickel, which can be recycled.
The symbols on the batteries have the following meanings:
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
For batteries that contain more than a specified amount of lead, cadmium, or mercury, the chemical symbols under the crossed-out wheeled bin indicate the following pollutants:
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass
Information on the included costs pursuant to Article 56(4) of the EU Battery Regulation (Regulation 2023/1542) can be found at the initiative “Batterie-Zurück”.
Please pay attention to the above instructions.
